Restart Your BlackBerry Without Pulling the Battery

Posted by: ubertechguy | Comments Comments Off

blackberry_logoDid you know you can force a restart of your BlackBerry without having to take the cover off and pull the battery?

If your BlackBerry locks up and you want to give it the three-finger-salute (aka. CTRL-ALT-DEL on a PC), then look no further.

Hold down the left ALT key, than press and hold the following keys simultaneously: RIGHT-SHIFT and BACKSPACE/DEL. Your screen will clear, your LED will blink RED and your BlackBerry will reboot.

Of course if this doesn’t work, rip that battery out! :D

Have you had your BlackBerry replaced and now mass storage mode will not work? Mass storage mode allows you to connect your BlackBerry and copy files to and from the device as if it was a USB Flash Drive.

I tore my hair out trying to figure out why this was happening and then stumbled on the fix. The Internet beats waiting for hours on the support lines or being told to do crazy things like wipe your device, when the solution is to run a simple little program.

Hopefully, this will help some of you with the same problem.
