Beware of 3rd Party Facebook Applications

I don’t want anyone to think I’m ignoring them when I don’t respond to many of these 3rd party Facebook applications. If the application is not developed by Facebook or a company I recognize as reputable, I will likely not respond to the notification since it requires I add the application to my Facebook account.

It’s out of control. Every time you visit a new web site you usually have to register or create an account. In the process, you attempt to at least create a user name you’ve used on most other sites on which you’ve registered. What if that one is taken? Don’t Be a Victim of Domain Robbery
Posted by: | CommentsI just had to start a category on scams after the phone call I just received. Of course, there was no CallerID associated with the call. After several hellos, a woman came on the line and told me she was from the “Domain Registry Service.” Uh, huh. Yeah, right.
As a grin crossed my face, I said “Yes?” after which she proceeded to tell me that there are upcoming changes to the registration for my domain name and they wanted to alert me to them so that I could take action. Read More→
